Recap: Rocky Mountain Grizzlies vs. Lapwai Wildcats
The Rocky Mountain Grizzlies scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Lapwai by a score of 82-73. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Rocky Mountain.
Despite the loss, Lapwai still got an impressive performance from Kase Wynott, who shot 5-for-10 from deep and dropped a double-double on 48 points and 18 rebounds. The match was Wynott's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ahlius Yearout, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
The win got Rocky Mountain back to even at 3-3. As for Lapwai, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
Rocky Mountain's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lewiston at 4:00 p.m. on December 30, 2023. Lewiston will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Lapwai won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Moscow at 1:00 p.m. on December 30, 2023. Moscow will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Idaho Rankings (they are ranked 65th, while Lapwai is ranked 11th).
