Basketball Game Preview: Northwestern Trojans vs. Fort Mill Yellow Jackets

The Northwestern Trojans will head out on the road to square off against the Fort Mill Yellow Jackets at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Northwestern took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against Clover by the margin of a single free throw, 64-63.

Meanwhile, everything went Fort Mill's way against Rock Hill on Tuesday as Fort Mill made off with a 62-42 victory. The Yellow Jackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Fort Mill's win came from a few key players Northwestern will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Nas Berry, who posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jermier Nelson, who had 15 points.

Fort Mill's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Northwestern, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.
