Basketball Recap: Omaha Christian Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Nolan Swett and Nathan Friesen

Omaha Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 52-37 fall against the Cornerstone Christian School Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 51-46 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Nathan Friesen and Nolan Swett certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Friesen dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Swett posted six points and ten boards. Levi Mcgranahan also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Omaha Christian Academy's record is now 2-8. As for Cornerstone Christian School, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-4.

Omaha Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 59-32 defeat against Brownell Talbot on the 17th. As for Cornerstone Christian School, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 65-49 loss against Conestoga on the 18th.
