Softball Recap: South Medford Takes a Loss

South Medford lost against Sheldon back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers fell 4-1 to the Irish. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

South Medford saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Butterfield, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That hit marked the first that Butterfield got this season.

South Medford's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Sheldon, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Medford will welcome South Eugene at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sheldon, they will host Thurston at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
