Basketball Recap: Poultney Comes Up Short

Poultney lost against Arlington Memorial on Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Poultney Blue Devils might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 26-19 to the Arlington Memorial Eagles, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Poultney's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Arlington Memorial, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Poultney will take on Mill River at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Arlington Memorial, they will face off against Mt. St. Joseph Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Mt. St. Joseph Academy is on a three-game streak of home wins, Arlington Memorial a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
