Basketball Game Preview: Chestatee War Eagles vs. Lumpkin County Indians

Chestatee and Lumpkin County are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Chestatee War Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lumpkin County Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Chestatee earned a 40-31 win over Dawson County.

Meanwhile, Lumpkin County can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They blew past Johnson, posting a 64-13 victory. The match marked the Indians' most dominant win of the season.

Chestatee has also been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.4 points per game. As for Lumpkin County, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-15.

Chestatee was able to grind out a solid win over Lumpkin County when the teams last played back in January, winning 52-42. Will Chestatee repeat their success, or does Lumpkin County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
