Softball Game Preview: Felicity-Franklin Cardinals vs. East Clinton Astros

The Felicity-Franklin Cardinals will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the East Clinton Astros at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Felicity-Franklin took on Blanchester on Wednesday. The Cardinals lost 16-1 to the Wildcats. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Mollie Wilson was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, while East Clinton put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Clermont Northeastern. The Astros walked away with a 4-0 win over the Rockets. The game was the first time the Astros have beaten the Rockets on their field since May 13, 2019.

Felicity-Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for East Clinton, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.

Felicity-Franklin might still be hurting after the 20-2 loss they got from East Clinton when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Can the Cardinals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
