Baseball Recap: Eastlake Comes Up Short

Eastlake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Coronado Thunderbirds. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunderbirds apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Eastlake's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Coronado, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

While Eastlake had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
