Parrish Community waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 55-42 win over the Lakewood Ranch Mustangs. Given the Bulls' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 285th, while the Mustangs are ranked 593rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lakewood Ranch's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was James Butler, who posted 11 points. Wes Henry was another key player, going 5 for 9 en route to 10 points.

Parrish Community has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Lakewood Ranch, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.
