Baseball Recap: Concord Snaps 11-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Concord ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Sonoma Valley Dragons, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bears have posted since February 23, 2024.

Concord's win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Hunt, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Concord's victory ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1. As for Sonoma Valley, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Concord will face off against Mission San Jose at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sonoma Valley, they will take on Rancho Cotate at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
