Recap: Oakman Wildcats vs. Addison Bulldogs
The Addison Bulldogs typically have all the answers at home, but on Thursday the Oakman Wildcats proved too difficult a challenge. Oakman had just enough and edged Addison out 45-42. The victory was all the more spectacular given Oakman's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 194th, while Addison is ranked 50th).
Oakman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trenton Warren led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. The match was Warren's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Rick Johnson, who scored 16 points along with 4 steals.
Oakman's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Addison, they bumped their record down to 5-1 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Oakman's road trip will continue as they head out to face Dora at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. Hopefully Dora focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday. As for Addison, they will be playing at home against Winston County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
