Basketball Game Preview: Snowflake Lobos vs. Sabino Sabercats

The Snowflake Lobos will venture away from home to take on the Sabino Sabercats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Snowflake sitting on three straight victories and Sabino on 11.

Last Friday, everything came up roses for Snowflake against San Tan Foothills as the team secured a 67-37 win.

Meanwhile, Sabino beat ALA - West Foothills 87-79 on Friday. Given the Sabercats' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Guardians are ranked 247th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sabino's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 85.0 points over those games. As for Snowflake, their win bumped their record up to 17-9.

Snowflake beat Sabino 70-63 in their previous meeting back in December of 2016. Will Snowflake repeat their success, or does Sabino have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
