Soccer Game Preview: Christian vs. Lincoln

Christian is 0-9 against Lincoln since January of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Christian Patriots will face off against the Lincoln Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Mountain Empire a 4-0 shutout. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Patriots considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

They hit Mountain Empire with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Steven Benson (2), Soren Lucey, and Bryce Gaut.

Meanwhile, Lincoln waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Sharks.

Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four contests. Lincoln's victory bumped their record up to 13-5.

Christian might still be hurting after the 7-2 defeat they got from Lincoln in their previous matchup back in January. Can Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
