Basketball Recap: St. David's Piles Up the Points Against Chatham Homeschool

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. David). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Chatham HomeSchool Thunder 79-40. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 56-22.

Despite the loss, Chatham HomeSchool still got an impressive performance from Luke Coletta, who shot 45% from the field en route to 19 points. The game was Coletta's ninth in a row with at least 16 points. Eli Cunningham was another key player, putting up four points and seven rebounds.

The win (which was St. David's third in a row) raised their record to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points over those games. As for Chatham HomeSchool, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. David's will face off against Ravenscroft at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Chatham HomeSchool, they will take on South Charlotte at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Chatham HomeSchool's defense better be ready for this one: South Charlotte has averaged an impressive 70 points per game this season.
