Football Game Recap: Upson-Lee vs. Howard

Their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Upson-Lee, but their most recent contest may have softened the blow. They took their match against Howard on Friday 38-24.

Upson-Lee's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 22 first-half points. Howard wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 14 to make it 22-14 heading into the break. The offense for Upson-Lee continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 16 points to put the game away.

Upson-Lee's win brought them up to 5-3. The defeat dropped Howard's record to 5-3.

The teams are both focusing on improving their conference standings in their upcoming contests. Upson-Lee will take on West Laurens at home at 7:30 PM next week. West Laurens took a loss in their last game and are no doubt out to reverse Upson-Lee's good fortune. As for Howard, they will go up against Spalding. Spalding are limping into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
