Softball Recap: Manalapan Drops Season-High Score on Keansburg

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Manalapan). They were the clear victors by a 26-2 margin over the Keansburg Titans on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Braves considering their two-run performance the match before.

Manalapan is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Keansburg, their loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Manalapan has already played their next contest, a 13-0 defeat against Middletown South on the 23rd. As for Keansburg, they will take on Rumson-Fair Haven at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.56 runs per game on average), something the Titans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
