Bearden put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Lafayette County Cougars a 15-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bears also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Bearden's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lafayette County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bearden will square off against Kirby at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lafayette County, they will take on Columbia Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
