Centerville and Grapeland are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Centerville Tigers will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Grapeland Sandies at 5:00 p.m. Centerville is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

Centerville is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest loss since January 30, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Groveton by a score of 46-43.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Grapeland against Groveton on Wednesday as the team secured a 71-43 win. The Sandies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.

Grapeland now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Centerville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-19.

Centerville took a serious blow against Grapeland in their previous meeting on January 3rd, falling 81-41. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Grapeland's Alayaha Hopkins, who dropped a double-double on 42 points and ten steals.
