Volleyball Game Preview: Zuni Thunderbirds vs. Crownpoint Eagles + How To Watch

The Zuni Thunderbirds will venture away from home to take on the Crownpoint Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Zuni took on Navajo Prep on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0. The Thunderbirds have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Zuni was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Navajo Prep work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 26-24, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Crownpoint suffered their biggest defeat since August 30th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Legacy Academy. Considering the last time the Eagles couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-13, 25-10.

Zuni now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Crownpoint, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Zuni suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Crownpoint in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Thunderbirds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
