It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Syracuse ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They skirted past the Woods Cross Wildcats 5-4. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Syracuse's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Burkon Beus, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Syracuse's record is now 2-4. As for Woods Cross, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-1.

Coming up, Syracuse will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Northridge at 3:00 p.m. on March 20th. As for Woods Cross, they will challenge Mountain Ridge at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
