Baseball Recap: Jupiter Gets the Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Jupiter had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the St. Cloud Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 on Wednesday.

Conner Sorge looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gabe Graulau, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Griffin Miller was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

The win made it two in a row for Jupiter and bumps their season record up to 21-8. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for St. Cloud, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-9.

As of now, neither Jupiter nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
