Softball Recap: El Camino Takes a Loss

El Camino was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 16-10 to the Lowell Cardinals. If the Colts were looking for revenge after losing 11-0 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Juliana Bazlamit made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Jenna Bollentini also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

El Camino's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Lowell, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. El Camino will square off against Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Grizzlies have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.17 runs per game on average), something the Colts will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lowell, they will challenge Lincoln at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 11.9 runs per game this season.
