Basketball Game Preview: Aldine Mustangs vs. Conroe Tigers

The Aldine Mustangs will face off against the Conroe Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Aldine is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.9 points per game this season.

Aldine will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Nimitz, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Aldine had just enough and edged Nimitz out 72-70. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Aldine's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jorge Castro, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Castro a new career-high in boards. Jameson Kegler was another key player, putting up 13 points in addition to six assists and three steals.

Meanwhile, Conroe waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 47-39 win over the Indians.

Aldine's victory bumped their record up to 23-13. As for Conroe, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-17.
