After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cardington-Lincoln, Mt. Gilead was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Delaware Christian Eagles by a score of 11-8. Considering the Indians' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Savannah Wilt made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted two strikeouts, the most she's had over her last six matches. She was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles.

In other batting news, Trinity Schrote was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted over her last 11 contests. Another player making a difference was Kamryn Harris, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Mt. Gilead kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-13-1. As for Delaware Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Coming up, Mt. Gilead will be playing in front of their home fans against Loudonville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Delaware Christian, they will welcome Madison Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Madison Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Delaware Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
