Recap: Marion Harding Presidents vs. Olentangy Berlin Bears
The Marion Harding Presidents had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 50-26 walloping at the hands of Olentangy Berlin. Marion Harding lost against Olentangy Berlin in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 48-33 score last time.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Olentangy Berlin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cami Elliott, who scored 13 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Layla Merriweather, who scored 14 points along with 5 steals.
Marion Harding's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Olentangy Berlin, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marion Harding will take on Big Walnut at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Olentangy Berlin, they will head out on the road to face off against Pickerington North at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
