Basketball Recap: Rogers Comes Up Short

Rogers blew Van Buren out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Van Buren got their revenge. The Mountaineers fell just short of the Pointers by a score of 75-73. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (65), the Mountaineers still had to take the loss.

Rogers dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Van Buren, the victory (which was their fourth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Rogers will square off against Mountain Home at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Van Buren, they will challenge Southside at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
