Basketball Recap: Culleoka Takes a Loss

Culleoka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 53-45 to the Lewis County Panthers. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 11-4 in the first quarter.

Lewis County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Moore out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Moore a new career-high in rebounds. Jazalyn Conner was another key player, putting up ten points and seven boards.

Culleoka's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Lewis County, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-15.

Culleoka didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-19 loss against Richland on the 21st. As for Lewis County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 81-41 defeat against Summertown on the 18th.
