It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but South Glens Falls ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Scotia-Glenville Tartans 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since April 21st.

Grady Bammert spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Justin Christensen, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

South Glens Falls' win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Scotia-Glenville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.
