Baseball Recap: Allen Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Weleetka, Allen was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Leedey Bison by a score of 8-4. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Cruz Garrett was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Garrett was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Bodee Garrett was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Briar Heck, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

The win got Allen back to even at 3-3. As for Leedey, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Coming up, Allen will face off against Calumet at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Leedey, they will host Varnum at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday.
