Volleyball Game Preview: Nazareth Academy Roadrunners vs. St. Edward Green Wave

The Nazareth Academy Roadrunners will head out on the road to square off against the St. Edward Green Wave at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Nazareth Academy and 15 for St. Edward.

On Tuesday, Nazareth Academy came up short against Saint Viator and fell 2-0.

Nazareth Academy was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly three points. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22.

Meanwhile, St. Edward also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Wheaton Academy by a score of 2-0.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-14.

St. Edward's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Nazareth Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-25.

Nazareth Academy was able to grind out a solid win over St. Edward in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Roadrunners since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
