Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds vs. Harlingen Cardinals
St. Joseph Academy easily dispatched IDEA North Mission on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Bloodhounds fell just short of the Harlingen Cardinals by a score of 44-42 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Bloodhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1001st, while the Cardinals are ranked 217th).

St. Joseph Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jason Aguilar, who went 8-for-16 to rack up 20 points.
