Herscher is a perfect 10-0 against Peotone since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Tigers will square off against the Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. Herscher is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
While Herscher's victory against Dwight wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers won by a run and slipped past the Trojans 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won six in a row.
Lilly Tucek spent all 11 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, RyLyn Adams was incredible, going 3-for-6 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Peotone's offense. They fell just short of Beecher by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. The Blue Devils haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
Peotone also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Sophie Klawitter gave up only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up 15 Ks. Klawitter has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances.
Herscher's victory bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Peotone, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.
Peotone's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Herscher has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .454. It's a different story for Peotone, though, as they've only averaged .313. Will they be able to contain Herscher's hitters?
Everything went Herscher's way against Peotone in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Herscher made off with an 18-9 win. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
