Pocono Mountain West and Stroudsburg are an even 5-5 against one another  since October of 2017, but  not for long. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Mountaineers  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday.
Pocono Mountain West came up short against  Pleasant Valley on Saturday, falling  3-0. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
 The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22,  25-15.
 The losing side was boosted by   Cayleigh Keller, who  had seven  digs and two  aces.
Meanwhile, Stroudsburg got the win against East Stroudsburg South  on Wednesday by a conclusive  3-0. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Mountaineers.
 Stroudsburg not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept East Stroudsburg South between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19,  25-18.
Stroudsburg's win came from a few key players Pocono Mountain West will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was  Madelyn Vargas, who  had seven  blocks, five  kills,  and three  digs. She is  on a roll when it comes to  blocks, as she's  now  had two or more in each of the last 11 games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Nya Cawley, who  had 13  digs and one  assist.
 They weren't the only good servers: Stroudsburg  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with ten  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least ten  aces in three consecutive  matchups.
 Pocono Mountain West's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Stroudsburg, their win bumped their record up to 6-10-1.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of  Monday's  match:  Pocono Mountain West has really dialed in their serving  this season,  having  averaged 4.4  aces per game. However, it's not like Stroudsburg struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 6.5  aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
 Pocono Mountain West beat Stroudsburg 3-1  in their previous meeting  back in September. Do  the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mountaineers turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
