Baseball Recap: Modoc Wins Going Away Against Loyalton

Modoc won the last time they faced Loyalton and things went their way on Friday too. The Braves walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Grizzlies. The contest marked the Braves' most dominant win of the season.

Modoc's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Sam McCandless, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits McCandless has posted since back in April of 2025. Bruce Lewis was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Modoc has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Loyalton, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Modoc didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-0 victory against Burney on the 11th. As for Loyalton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-1 loss against Mazama on the 10th.
