Baseball Recap: Azle Find Success

Azle never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Brewer Bears 1-0. That's two games straight that the Hornets have won by just one run.

The result came thanks to Garrin Graves's shutout, as he gave up just three hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Azle is undefeated when he allows at most three earned runs, but 10-11 otherwise.

At the plate, Azle saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ty Bonnett, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Azle and bumps their season record up to 14-11. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Brewer, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-9 record this season.

Azle will have a chance to go back-to-back against Brewer: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
