Soccer Game Preview: Chaparral vs. Valor Christian

The Chaparral Wolverines will venture away from home to square off against the Valor Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chaparral is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.

Chaparral will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Legend, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Wolverines' defense stepped up to hand the Titans a 2-0 shutout on Friday. Isabelle Schroder had to tread lightly for part of the match after she was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Chaparral got from the refs.

Schroder was the driving force of Chaparral's attack as she scored both of Chaparral's goals, bringing her season total up to 15 goals.

Meanwhile, Valor Christian faced Columbine in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Eagles fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 2-1. Valor Christian's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Chaparral's victory bumped their record up to 8-5-2. As for Valor Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3-2.
