Volleyball Game Preview: Nevada Union Miners vs. Del Oro Golden Eagles

The Nevada Union Miners will head out on the road to square off against the Del Oro Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nevada Union is coming into the match hot, having won their last 11 games.

Nevada Union saw some tournament action last Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Castro Valley.

Meanwhile, Del Oro didn't have quite enough to beat Folsom on Monday and fell 3-2. The Golden Eagles have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

The 3-2 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 22-25, 29-27, 22-25, 15-12.

Nevada Union's victory bumped their record up to 27-6. As for Del Oro, their loss dropped their record down to 18-12.

Nevada Union couldn't quite get it done against Del Oro in their previous matchup back in March as they fell 2-0. Can the Miners avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
