Softball Recap: Bristol-Plymouth RVT Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

The matchup between Bristol-Plymouth RVT and Southeastern RVT on Monday hardly resembled the 3-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Craftsmen walked away with a 12-8 victory over the Hawks. Winning may never get old, but the Craftsmen sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Bristol-Plymouth RVT got a great performance from Gabrianna Arrighi as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over 4.2 innings pitched. Arrighi has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bree Aldrich and Shelby Estrella did most of the damage at the plate: Aldrich got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI, while Estrella went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was Estrella's first of the season. Molly Clark was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Bristol-Plymouth RVT's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. As for Southeastern RVT, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Bristol-Plymouth RVT nor Southeastern RVT have any future games scheduled.
