Baseball Recap: Del Campo Extends Winning Streak to Three

Del Campo barely beat River Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars blew past the Falcons 9-3 on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on three straight.

Alex Carter looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Egan Wyant, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ramiro Pereda, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Del Campo's record now sits at 11-12-1. As for River Valley, they dropped their record down to 2-21 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road.

Del Campo will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Falcons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
