Preview: McCamey Badgers vs. Roscoe Plowboys
The McCamey Badgers will head out on the road to face off against the Roscoe Plowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Iraan scored an imposing 34 points on Friday, McCamey still came out on top. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, McCamey made off with a 35-34 win over Iraan. The win made it back-to-back wins for McCamey.
It was another big night for Grant Glidewell, who rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 209 yards and a touchdown while completing 81% of his passes. Donovin Young was another key contributor, rushing for 68 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Roscoe put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They breezed by Hamlin on the road to the tune of 70-6.
McCamey has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Roscoe, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
Everything came up roses for McCamey against Roscoe in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 as the squad secured a 42-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for McCamey since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
