Basketball Game Preview: Page Pirates vs. Southeast Guilford Falcons

The Page Pirates will head out on the road to square off against the Southeast Guilford Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Page took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They snuck past Northern Guilford with a 52-47 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Pirates' disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 249th, while the Nighthawks are ranked 46th).

Meanwhile, Southeast Guilford and Western Guilford faced off in a cross-town battle on Wednesday. Everything went Southeast Guilford's way against Western Guilford as Southeast Guilford made off with a 67-42 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Falcons have posted since December 19, 2024.

Page's record is now 9-14. As for Southeast Guilford, their record is now 13-9.

Page was able to grind out a solid win over Southeast Guilford in their previous matchup back in January, winning 58-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for Page since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
