Baseball Recap: South Pointe Comes Up Short

South Pointe fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Lancaster on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bruins by a score of 5-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Stallions in their meetings with the Bruins: they've now lost four in a row.

South Pointe saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Wetherbee, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI.

South Pointe's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Lancaster, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Coming up, South Pointe will challenge Northwestern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lancaster, they will head out to take on Indian Land on Monday.
