Softball Game Preview: Gibbs Gladiators vs. St. Petersburg Catholic Barons

Gibbs is on an eight-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and St. Petersburg Catholic a six-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Gibbs Gladiators will look to defend their home field against the St. Petersburg Catholic Barons at 7:00 p.m. Gibbs will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

Gibbs lost 23-8 to Bayshore on Thursday.

Brianna Narvaez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Shania Fisher-Sutton, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple.

Meanwhile, St. Petersburg Catholic came up short against Admiral Farragut on Monday, falling 18-2.

St. Petersburg Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Gibbs, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
