Game recap: De La Salle high school football team keeps rolling by besting Amador Valley

De La Salle (Concord, Calif.) extended its winning streak to seven games with a 52-24 victory over Amador Valley (Pleasanton, Calif.) on Saturday.

The Spartans were up 27-10 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run in the first quarter.

De La Salle expanded its lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. DLS scored three times in the third, including once on a passing touchdown.

Chris Williams was the top performer for the Concord school. The junior quarterback ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored 11 touchdowns on the season.

When the two teams played each other last season, the Spartans came away with a 42-7 victory.



The defeat comes as a step back for Amador Valley, which notched a 34-20 victory over Livermore in its previous outing.

Amador Valley (3-4) will play a East Bay game against Granada next week, while De La Salle (7-0) will take on Monte Vista in a non-conference game.
