Cave Spring has gone a perfect 10-0 against Patrick Henry recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Knights will be playing at home against the Patriots at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cave Spring has three straight wins, Patrick Henry has 13 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Cave Spring's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave on Friday, when they got past Salem's usually-dominant pitching crew. The Knights put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 10-3 victory. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Rachel Hartman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jayden Eanes, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Patrick Henry's offense. They lost 16-0 to Christiansburg on Friday.

Cave Spring pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Patrick Henry, their loss dropped their record down to 1-17.

Cave Spring took their win against Patrick Henry in their previous meeting last Friday by a conclusive 18-0 score. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
