After a string of four wins, Mount Vernon's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Riverside Warriors. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in September of 2023.

Mount Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 21-18. As for Riverside, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-5.

Looking ahead, Mount Vernon will be playing at home against Mundy's Mill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Riverside, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against South Effingham on the 27th.
