Football Recap: Dumas Comes Up Short

Dumas lost against Monticello back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bobcats were outmatched by the Billies and fell 39-8. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kyle Young threw for 144 yards and one touchdown. Marcus Kilgore was his top target, picking up 49 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Ke'Marion Jackson rushed for 57 yards.

Dumas now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Monticello, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dumas will head out to face off against Lakeside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Bobcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Monticello, they will venture away from home to square off against Hamburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Billies will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
