Basketball Recap: Osage Comes Up Short

After flying high against West Fork last Monday, Osage came back down to earth. The Osage Green Devils fell just short of the Decorah-North Winneshiek Vikings by a score of 58-56 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Green Devils have suffered since January 10th.

Osage's defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Decorah-North Winneshiek, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-1.

Osage does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Decorah-North Winneshiek, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Charles City at 8:15 p.m. on Friday. Decorah-North Winneshiek knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 20 games -- so hopefully Charles City likes a good challenge.
