Football Recap: Peru Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Peru can now relate to. They fell 13-6 to the Northeastern Clinton Cougars on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, with their most recent loss being a 20-19 defeat last Wednesday.

Northeastern Clinton found their leader in freshman Anna Racine, who rushed for 62 yards and one score on only five carries. Racine got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 52 yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Peru and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Northeastern Clinton, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-6-1.

As of now, neither Peru nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
