Basketball Recap: Lorain Comes Up Short

Lorain played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 69-24 loss at the hands of the Keystone Wildcats. The Titans were down 56-23 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the loss, Lorain still got an impressive performance from Brajhia Phillips, who posted five points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Teagan Villegas, who put up two points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Leading Keystone to victory were Vivian Cassell and Madyson Sokolowski. Cassell dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Sokolowski went 10 of 18 en route to 22 points along with seven boards and five steals. The contest was Sokolowski's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Brooklyn Barber was another key player, putting up nine points and five assists.

Lorain's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Keystone, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 17-0.

Lorain didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-33 loss against Avon on the 29th. As for Keystone, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 57-42 defeat against Padua Franciscan on the 27th.
